A wealth of career opportunities will soon be available to Echuca learners through a new suite of courses now offered at our Echuca campus.
Ranging from entry-level certificates to diplomas, the courses aim to produce skilled workers for growing sectors including tourism and events, hospitality and retail services.
“Tourism, hospitality and retail industries are expanding in Echuca, along with growing demand for skilled workers in these fields. Our aim is to provide local community with the skills and qualification to start careers in these thriving sectors and drive its continued growth and innovation,” said Bendigo TAFE’s CEO Trevor Schwenke.
“As Echuca’s local TAFE, we’ve had a strong presence in this community for many years now and our new courses are geared to provide local learners with more choices and distinct career pathways.
“These courses are being introduced with the support of the Victorian Government that has committed significant funding to support regional pathways and employment based on local industry needs.”
The new courses include:
- Certificate II in Hospitality (front of house)
- Certificate IV and Diploma of Hospitality
- Certificate III in Tourism
- Diploma of Events/Festivals
- Certificate III in Holiday Park and Resorts
- Certificate III in Guiding
- Certificate II in Retail Services
- Certificate III in Retail Supervision
The Echuca campus also offers training in health and community services, commercial cookery, Koorie education, Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) and more. Short courses and other tailored training are available to suit local business needs.
