Bendigo TAFE is inviting local jobseekers to attend its free employment workshops at its City Campus’ Skills and Jobs Centre this September.
The workshops, which focus on overcoming job search challenges, understanding employability skills and engaging with prospective employers, aim to help participants improve their chances of finding their next job.
Wendy Schwedes, Bendigo TAFE’s employment services acting manager, said the workshops align with the TAFE’s commitment to support our local communities’ skilling and employment needs.
“Supporting our local communities is a core function Bendigo TAFE. Our onsite Skills and Jobs Centre is all about helping people build skills and employment pathways through to one-on-one career advice as well as training and employment assistance,” said Wendy.
“Our latest suite of workshops will focus on supporting people who are seeking new career opportunities, many of whom are facing significant challenges.”
Workshops include:
- Monday 19 September, 10am-12pm – The light bulb moment
Learn how to position yourself and define your competitive edge over other candidates. - Wednesday 21 September, 10am-12pm – The jobs effect
Learn how to identify and develop your employability skills. - Friday 23 September, 10am-12pm – Hide and seek
Learn how to search for a job effectively and identify employers who match your passion and personal values.
