Our strengths
Helping industries and economies grow
We are helping respond to skills shortages across Victoria, and nationally, ensuring communities flourish.
Our multi-faceted services mean we support the full skills cycle – from training and upskilling, to skills assessments and e-learning design – helping industries fill critical gaps.
We play a key role building skills in health, trades, digital and the clean economy – areas shaping the future and needing skilled people most. Not all skills are in short supply but still essential. Your high street hairdresser, café, pet groomer, and mechanic are providing services in the community thanks to skills training.
We’re also authorised by the Australian Government to assess more occupations than anyone else.
Our expertise in tailoring workforce employment solutions helps businesses upskill staff and address capability gaps. From leadership and management to cultural capability, we support immediate needs and long-term workforce development.
Putting students and customers at the centre
With training offered at multiple campuses, corrections facilities and workplaces across Melbourne and regional Victoria, along with assessment offices overseas, we deliver skills training and assessments to students and customers from disperse locations.
Alongside traditional formats, we’re continually evolving our delivery to meet the changing needs of our students and customers through a range of technologies, teaching formats, and methodologies.
Our assessors who provide skills assessments to skilled migrants regularly travel interstate to meet with customers where required, and our interactive course designers work with businesses large and small.
Supporting a diverse learning community
Our students and customers come to us from Melbourne suburbs, Victorian regional cities and towns, interstate, and countries abroad.
Our more than 35,000 learners originate from 142 countries and collectively speak more than 100 languages.
Staff, students, and customers reflect the communities we operate in and go on to work in. Which is why we’re proud to welcome people from all gender, cultural, racial, and religious backgrounds, and ensuring inclusion so every ability thrives.
We’re also Victoria’s largest provider of corrections education, delivering across 11 correctional facilities.
Attracting skills experts
Whether a teacher, an assessor, or course designer, our skills experts bring knowledge and experience from their own careers and industries to students and customers.
Several of our experts have received awards for excellence but all are committed to seeing students and customers change their lives through training and skills – wherever they are.
Connecting with industry
Our close partnerships with industry enable students to have access to the latest thinking and an increased number of industry-connected educators in our courses.
Offering flexible access to skills and connecting our students and customers with employers at early stages accelerates their path to earning and enables them to balance their studies with work commitments.
