HEALTH HEALTH & NURSING CERTIFICATE III IN INDIVIDUAL SUPPORT (AGEING, HOME AND COMMUNITY) Course Code CHC33015 Direct entry / February and July intakes Get qualified to work in a variety of aged-care settings such as high and low care residential facilities, patient’s homes and community groups. Our friendly and experienced teachers will equip you with the skills to help maintain patient’s personal care, health and wellbeing. Placement is a mandatory part of the course (120 hours) and this is organised by Bendigo TAFE. DURATION Full-time: 6 months (2 days per week). PREREQUISITES • A current Police Check, Working with Children Check (WWCC) and a Commonwealth of Australia Statutory Declaration (Aged Care). • You will need to be over the age of 18 to enrol in this course and complete the work placement/practical component. • Evidence of current immunisation status within one month of starting this course. • NOTE: Venues reserve the right to refuse you for placement based on the results of the above mentioned declarations. SELECTION PROCESS You will be assessed to ensure that you have the satisfactory language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) and the communication skills to undertake the course. You will also be required to attend an information session. FURTHER STUDY OPPORTUNITIES Students completing the Ageing, Home and Community stream can undertake further study with the Disability Skill Set (CHCSS00098) or the Certificate IV in Disability (CHC43115).
