ADULT MIGRANT ENGLISH PROGRAM (AMEP) We have a suite of courses in Spoken and Written English. You may be eligible for AMEP funding for these courses. The AMEP is a settlement and employment program funded by the Australian Governments Department of Education and Training under which eligible migrants can receive up to 510 hours of free English classes to help them successfully and confidently participate socially and economically in Australian society. The suite of courses will also help in undertaking further studies or exploring job opportunities. SELECTION PROCESS Interview and assessment. PREREQUISITES You will need to attend an interview to determine that the course is suitable and appropriate for you. CAREER OPPORTUNITIES These courses aim to prepare you with the English language skills needed to continue to other ESL or vocational courses at a higher level or to find work. FURTHER STUDY OPPORTUNITIES On successful completion, you may continue to other English language courses at a higher level. Certificate III prepares you for entry to vocational education and training in TAFE or tertiary institutions and the Certificate IV prepares you for study at a tertiary level.
