CERTIFICATE II IN PLUMBING PRE-APPRENTICESHIP Course code: 22304VIC Direct entry / February and July intake This course will prepare you for an apprenticeship in plumbing. It introduces all areas of the plumbing industry: water, gas, sanitary, drainage, mechanical services (heating/cooling) and roofing. You may also have the opportunity to undertake some work experience, which will give you the opportunity to observe how tasks are undertaken in the workplace. DURATION Full-time: 16 weeks PREREQUISITES You need to have satisfactory literacy and numeracy skills and be at least 15 years old. SELECTION PROCESS You will need to attend an interview and undertake a language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) assessment. You will learn the basics of electrical theory and maths, and gain practical skills to help you gain an apprenticeship as an Electrician, Data Communications Tradesperson or similar electrotechnology related career. DURATION Full-time: 16 weeks PREREQUISITES You need to have satisfactory literacy and numeracy skills and be at least 15 years old when you apply. SELECTION PROCESS You will need to attend an interview and undertake a language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) assessment. CAREER OPPORTUNITIES Employment in the electrical field.
